Why adu Requires KYC Verification
KYC verification is a regulatory requirement for financial institutions and gaming operators globally. It protects against money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud. For adu users, it means we confirm your identity before you access real-money sportsbook stakes, live-dealer tables, and payment processing. It also protects your account: if someone attempts to access your account from an unusual location or device, we can cross-reference your KYC data to prevent unauthorized use.
Our verification process complies with anti-money-laundering (AML) standards and data-protection regulations in supported jurisdictions. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. We retain your documents encrypted on secure servers for the duration of your account and for a statutory retention period afterward.
Verification is also the gateway to our payment ecosystem. DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, and online payment all link to your verified identity. e-wallet transfers and bank virtual accounts (mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet) require matching name and ID details. By completing KYC upfront, you unlock all eight payment methods without friction.
Step-by-step adu KYC process
The verification flow on adu follows four simple stages:
- Account creation: Sign up with your email address and create a password. Confirm your email via a link we send to your inbox. No personal details are required at this stage.
- KYC upload: Navigate to the verification section and upload two documents: (a) a government ID (passport, national ID card, or driving license) and (b) proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or residence certificate). Both documents should show your name clearly and match the name you provided during signup.
- Verification review: Our compliance team reviews your documents within one business day. We check that the ID is valid (not expired), that both documents show the same name, and that the address proof is dated recently (typically within the last three months). If everything matches, we approve your KYC.
- Approval notification: You receive an email confirming your account is now verified. Your deposit and withdrawal capabilities are unlocked. You can now place stakes on Liga 1 matches, access live-dealer tables, or deposit via any of our payment methods.
Accepted KYC documents on adu
We accept three types of government ID and three types of address proof. Your ID must be valid (not expired) and show your full name and photograph. Your address proof must be recent (dated within the last three months) and show your name and address clearly.
- Government ID options: National ID card (KTP or equivalent), passport, or driving license. Scan or photograph both the front and back of the ID. The image must be clear and legible.
- Address proof options: Utility bill (water, electricity, or internet), bank statement, or residence certificate from your local administration (surat keterangan domisili). The document must show your full name, residential address, and issue date.
- Special cases: If your address has changed recently and your ID does not reflect the new address, upload a residence certificate to prove your current address. If you have recently renewed your ID or passport, you may upload either the old or new version as long as it is not expired.
All documents must be in colour (not black-and-white) and legible. Blurry, partially covered, or heavily redacted documents may be rejected. If we request resubmission, we notify you via email with specific guidance on what to correct.

Common KYC rejection reasons and fixes
If your KYC is rejected, we provide a reason and invite resubmission. Common rejection reasons include:
- Name mismatch: Your ID shows one name format but your account was created with a different format. Example: your ID shows "Budi Ahmad Rahman" but your signup name is "B. A. Rahman". Resubmit with the name format matching your ID, or contact support to update your account name.
- Address mismatch: Your address proof does not match your ID address. If you have moved, upload a residence certificate (surat keterangan domisili) from your local government showing your current address. This document takes precedence over the ID address.
- Document unclear: Photos are blurry, underexposed, or partly cut off. Retake the photo in good lighting, ensure the entire document is visible, and resubmit.
- Document expired: Your ID or address proof is out of date. Upload a current version. Address proof is considered current if dated within the last three months; ID is valid as long as it has not expired.
If you resubmit and are rejected again, or if you believe our team made an error, contact our support team via in-app chat or email. We escalate manual reviews for edge cases.
KYC verification protects both you and adu. Clear documents and matching details ensure quick approval, so you can access Liga 1 sportsbook markets and deposit via mobile banking or local payment without delays.
KYC and re-verification scenarios
After your initial verification is approved, you typically do not need to provide KYC documents again. However, a few scenarios trigger re-verification:
- Unusual account activity: If we detect logins from multiple countries in a short timeframe, or if withdrawal patterns change dramatically, we may request re-verification to confirm your identity.
- ID expiration: When your government ID is about to expire or has expired, we may ask you to provide a renewed version. This is preventative and ensures our records stay current.
- Compliance review: Periodically, we review all accounts for updated regulatory compliance. If your documents are older than a certain threshold, we invite resubmission.
- Large withdrawal requests: If you request a withdrawal significantly larger than your typical activity, we may ask you to confirm your identity and the destination account before processing.
When re-verification is requested, we notify you clearly via email. The process is identical to the initial verification. We typically complete re-verification within one business day.
KYC and payment method linking
Once your KYC is approved, you can deposit and withdraw through any of our eight payment methods: online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, and bank transfers via mobile banking, local payment, online payment, or e-wallet virtual accounts. Each payment method cross-checks your verified name and identity against its own records.
For example, if your mobile banking app is registered under "Budi Ahmad" but your adu KYC shows "Budi Ahmad Rahman," the payment gateway may reject the transfer until names match. This is not adu's restriction—it is local payment's internal rule. You can either update your online payment account name, or use a different payment method whose registered name matches your adu KYC exactly.
Bank virtual accounts work similarly: we assign you a unique VA number tied to your verified name. When you transfer funds from your e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or online payment account to your adu VA, the name on your bank account must match the name on your adu KYC. If names differ, the bank rejects the transfer and returns your funds.
This alignment prevents fraud and ensures withdrawals also reach your verified account. If you withdraw from adu, the funds go back to the same payment method (and account name) you used for deposits.
